Enjoying the last summer days in Switzerland, I was strolling around with my new camera. A few weeks ago, I’ve bought a Canon PowerShot S70 (Review) and so far I’m very happy with it. Unfortunately, I realized now that Canon just presented the new S80, Well, more luck next time.
The S70 has a plenty of manual modes and settings, so that it can be a little tricky to shoot on full manual. But that is what made the camera very interesting for me. Not to be constrained by the camera automatic you can go out and get creative – on the other hand this means you have to get used to the camera and learn how to set all the available parameters. But that’s definitely worth it.
I think I tried all the different settings this day, so now it’s really up to comparing the pix taken. I took the opportunity to make some shoots of Zurich and to try all the different camera modes. I’ve put a few new Zurich pix online. It seams that I still have to improve the color balance a little bit. The first try turned out to be too greenish, this actual one has too much magenta in it. I hope next time I can provide you with a more balanced shoot .
So long dear friend…
