Day trip to Bintan

After spending almost 15 months in Singapore without traveling to anywhere else in Asia, I got just another stamp in my passport today traveling to Bintan, Indonesia.

The ferry left at about 8, which meant I had to get up at 6. Not sure why I decide to get up earlier on the weekend then during the week, but aren’t we all a little crazy?!

After the ferry ride, which takes about an hour we arrived in Bintan by about 9am (minus one hour time shift) and for 10 USD I got a nice visa and a stamp. All together covering one and a half pages for a day trip.

Have a look at the photos below for the mangrove tour by boat. It’s quite interesting if you like nature sights. Otherwise you may just be bored to death. Unfortunately, we didn’t see a lit of animals. The only animal around so early in the morning were snakes. However, we got told it’s only a very ‘soft’ venum. Nobody dies, just a bit of headache. Didn’t wanna try though.
